A good article is an article that has received The Green Ember of Excellence, which is a template that can be added to an article to mark it as being a quality article on this wiki. Articles marked as such are eligible to be nominated as featured articles.
Criteria[]
A good article is one that is/does the following:
- informative
- conforms to the rules of grammar and spelling
- fully-written in context of its subject
- well-organized
- details all appearances and notable mentions of its subject
- at least 250 words long in article text, including headers, lists, and quotes, excluding references and template text (to find the length of an article, copy and paste its text into WordCounter.net's free online word-counting tool)
The article need not:
- detail all passive mentions of its subject within its body, as this is marginal information which belongs in the infobox
- be very long—just fully-written in context of its subject (see above)
Application[]
The Green Ember of Excellence can be given to an article by adding the Template:Good to it. For more information on adding templates, please see this page. Please put the template at the very end of the page.
Please do not apply the template to:
- category pages
- images
- pages under The Green Ember Wiki namespace (including this one)
