My dear young rabbits, King Jupiter is gone, but others take up his cause, and another fills his place.

— Lady Glen to the Longtreader family, The Green Ember

The Lady of the Glen, usually known as just "Lady Glen", is the wife of King Jupiter, and the mother of Winslow, Whitbie, Smalden, and Emma.

Biography

The Green Ember

Lady Glen visits Nick Hollow to talk with Whittle and Sween right before Picket and Heather's home is attacked by Redeye Garlackson. She tells them that King Jupiter is gone but another fills his place.

On his way to Jupiter's Crossing, Picket wonders if Lady Glen is Smalls' mother.

Ember Falls

Maggie Weaver reveals to Emma and Heather that Lady Glen is King Jupiter's wife and Emma's mother. Upon question, Maggie explains that the queen cannot rule because she is not of royal blood, and therefore has no right to the throne.

When Emma tearfully wonders why Lady Glen has never visited her, Maggie comforts her by saying that when Emma was little, Lady Glen would come and hold her in the night. Hearing this, Emma recalls some vague memories of a "grey lady" holding her.

Physical appearance

Lady Glen is an old, short, but graceful female rabbit with grey fur peppered with black. She wore a black sweeping dress that was rare in Nick Hollow along with elegant long black gloves fringed with lace.

Personality and traits

Lady Glen is calm and graceful, with a tendency to speak softly in a voice that is described as ancient. She is fond of children.
