Jon Blackstar was the father of Fleck Blackstar and a hero of Golden Coast.
Biography
Backstory
Jon Blackstar lived on Golden Coast, where he met and married an unnamed doe, with whom he had a son, Fleck. Jon was a master miner, as denoted by the black star patch on the shoulder of his jacket, as had been his father and other ancestors before him. He passed this jacket on to his son prior to his death, and from this symbol his later descendants would take their surname. Jon was among the old bucks who remained behind on the coast, fighting so as to enable the escape of the other rabbits.
The Black Star of Kingston
Jon is mentioned by his son, Fleck, and King Whitson Mariner. Fleck briefly contemplates the idea of naming the mining settlement near Ayman Lake after him, but eventually gave it the name Kingston instead.
