The Fall and Rise of King Smalden Joveson is a story written by Heather Joveson about her husband, King Smalden Joveson. Written after the events of the War for All Natalia, it presumably chronicles Smalls' life story prior to and during the events of that conflict, up through when he slays Morbin Blackhawk and takes his rightful place as king of Natalia.

History

As they walked leisurely together during a family party, Picket Longtreader inquired of his sister Heather Joveson what she would call the historical accounts she was currently writing about her husband King Smalden. Heather replied that just as their father's histories of Jupiter Goodson were called The Rise and Fall of King Jupiter the Great, hers would be called The Fall and Rise of King Smalden Joveson, a title that Picket declared "perfect."

Trivia

• The title is meant to parallel that of The Rise and Fall of King Jupiter the Great, a similar biographical account of the life of Smalls' father, Jupiter Goodson, by Heather's father Whittle Longtreader.
• From an out-of-universe perspective, the story can be presumed to recount the events of The Green Ember, Ember Falls, Ember Rising, Ember's End, and possibly the Green Ember Archer series.
